Excessive sweating mainly affects hands, arm pits, and the face. The most effective and simple procedure to fight against it, is treatment with botulinum toxin.
The use of Botox (type A botulinum toxin) causes a selective, temporary reduction in sweating for arm pits, palms, or soles of the feet, due to selective action on the peripheral cholinergic nerve endings.
Various treatments over time may be necessary to obtain the desired results. The use of moisturizing creams or lotions may also be necessary after treatment in order to moisturize and compensate the temporary hypo functionality of skin annexes and sweat glands.
