BREAST LIFT SURGERY
Mastopexy, or breast lift surgery, is a procedure that treats breast flaccidity, elevating and improving the shape of sagging breasts. As the years go by, after pregnancy, or after breast feeding, breasts tend to sag. Apart from sagging, if breasts have also lost volume or have little volume, a prosthesis can also be used.

Mastopexy or breast lift surgeryClickMastopexy takes between an hour and a half and two and a half hours and it is usually performed under general anesthesia. After breast lift surgery you will have to spend one night in the hospital.Breast lift surgery is performed by making incisions around the areola in a downwards vertical line and along the ridge under the breast. The excess skin is eliminated and the areola is placed in its new position.A prosthesis may be needed, in which case it will be placed under the breast tissue, or under the pectoral muscle for breasts with little volume. After breast lift surgery, a bandage will be placed on the area.
After mastopexyClickYou may notice some fatigue after breast lift surgery but you will be able to go back to normal activities after 24 to 48 hours. Your breasts will be more sensitive than normal for 2 to 3 weeks, so excessive physical contact should probably be avoided for 3 to 4 weeks.
ResultsClickThe results of an operation like mastopexy will be satisfactory if the patient is realistic about her expectations. Over time, the scars will be less and less visible. The effects of breast lift surgery, although lasting, are not permanent, and depend on factors such as new pregnancies, weight variations and age.
